Dr. Irina Yakubin, OD, is a Clinical and Metaverse Optometrist specializing in LASIK, Cataract, Glaucoma, and Dry Eye treatments, as well as providing glasses and contact lens prescriptions. Fluent in English, Russian, and Spanish, Dr. Yakubin is dedicated to serving patients from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Yakubin graduated from InterAmerican University in 2020 and was driven to carve her own path in the field of medical optometry. Following her graduation, she gained valuable experience working in a private practice for over a year before embarking on a locum journey, providing eye care services in areas such as Fort Defiance, Arizona, St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and Bakersfield, California. Now, she is thrilled to bring her expertise back to West Hollywood, her hometown.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Yakubin shares her knowledge and insights through writing articles for eye care professionals and the general public. Her work has been featured in prominent vision and eye care publications, including Women in Optometry and Eyes on Eye Care. Dr. Yakubin is an active board member of the Los Angeles County Optometric Society, contributing to the advancement of the profession. She also co-produces My Vision Show and the Optical Metaverse, platforms that aim to educate and connect individuals in the eye care community.
